I'm trying to get my bandomstuffsit shit together. I meant to open signups yesterday but ended up going to bed early with a hellish headache. Just have to get a few details ironed out, and I should be able to open them tonight. \o/

I wish I had something interesting to say since I haven't updated my journal in almost eight months. But life continues apace, with nothing terribly earth-shattering to speak of.

Hmmm, maybe I'll just update you on food! sparklewitch made some super-awesome fajitas for dinner! The chicken was cooked to perfection and wasn't all chewy-tough like most fajita meat ends up. Good job, sis! Also, I had a pudding cup! Yay pudding?

On one hand, I'm an idiot who just kind of spaced on the no_tags signup deadline and went to bed without submitting my prompts.

On the other hand, I just woke up and almost all the prompts are claimed. So I probably wouldn't have gotten one I was excited about writing, anyway.

Somehow, I'll still get some Carden/Chiz this year. I just have to figure out how...

Also, I changed my journal layout for the first time in ages to a great one from fruitstyle, and it's my first time using my own header. I feel stupidly accomplished for how easily I was able to customize the CSS to my tastes without screwing anything up.

Aaand I found out this weekend that my 10-year high school reunion is going to be in July. If my BFF hadn't promised to go with me, I don't think I would have the courage to go. DNW to feel like a failure at life just because I'm single and don't have (or want) children. OTOH, I have something to motivate me to get in better shape this year. \o?

Well, sayonara, 2010. You were an okay year. Not too bad but not too great. Mostly forgettable. I hope that 2011 will be the year I always remember because it's the year I won the lottery! Or actually got a raise. That would be nice, too.

I thought about doing a RL year-end meme, but every year since college just seems to blur together. Life as a worker bee is boring, dude. So instead I did this fandom meme I stole from someone.

So imagine you just realized two big events are coming up in a couple of months. Maybe one of these things is a high-profile trial. Maybe the other is your city's biggest event of the year. And maybe they're overlapping by a week! And just perhaps this overlap would make your job a living hell for that week.

Maybe you're very seriously considering scheduling time off for that week NOW, before anyone realizes what's happening that particular week.

So would that a) make you a terrible person OR b) show that the people you work with should pay more attention to dates and it's not your problem if they don't? :D? :D?

So I'm actually super proud of myself because I've already got a couple thousand words of my bandomstuffsit fic written! Normally I'm a wait-'til-the-last-minute kind of challenge writer, but I'm having fun writing this one a bit at a time instead of all in one huge chunk. Go me!

But at the same time, I keep getting distracted by daydreaming about fics I wish existed. Like a nice, laid-back Carden/Chiz fic where they play guitar and smile at each other and make out and there's lots of sunshine and happiness, and probably some swimming around and splashing each other. And maybe kangaroos or koalas.

Or maybe a Carden/Gabe fic where Carden's a control freak who needs to loosen up, so Gabe sometimes has to spank him just a little bit (or a lot, whatever). And possibly hold him down while he fucks him.

And there should definitely be some Carden/Spencer porn. Lots of Carden/Spencer porn of any type. >:9

I had a fairly productive day -- for me, at least. I started my bandomstuffsit fic, I ran some errands and did some laundry. But I still ended up feeling useless and sad and hating winter before it's even started. Daylight saving time is some bullshit, y'all. Seriously.

Also, I really, really don't want to work tomorrow. Stupid basketball season. >:(

Hum de dum de dum. I'm at work but don't feel like working this last bit of my shift. I would try to catch up on some BBBs, but I don't seem to have the patience to sit down and read longer fics lately. Which is ridiculous when it comes to BBB, because those fics are the most fun to gobble up in one sitting. Poor me, my life is clearly the most difficult.

ANYWAY, regarding this new picture, I want two things:

1) For Panic to actualfax do a photoshoot with their terrible, lolzy mustaches in which they make terrible, lolzy faces while wearing terrible, lolzy clothes. THEN I WANT THEM TO INCLUDE ALL THE PICTURES IN A COFFEE TABLE BOOK, ahahahahaha! I would buy it and display it proudly on my mantle.

2) A fic based on the dark bags under Spencer's eyes and all the weight he seems to have lost lately. See, Spencer could have a terrible illness that is part of the reason Panic has been slow to put out new music or make appearances. Jon and Ryan have no idea that Spencer's sick, because Spencer's stubborn and doesn't want them to start talking to him again just because he's on death's doorstep or some shit. But eventually they find out, and Ryan can be super distressed that Spencer didn't tell him for so long! Then maybe Ryan can donate his bone marrow or something else awesome to help Spencer get better, and they can all be brought back together and live happily ever after! :D? :D?

The bad news is that sparklewitch and I had to shell out more than $500 over the past week on various car problems. (Seriously, it was one thing after another.) The good news is that I will be working 12 days straight later this month, so the overtime will help!

(Well, it would be good news if I didn't hate working overtime so much. Whatever.)

But who cares about work! Lately I just keep daydreaming about Panic AUs that I will most likely never write.

I know I mentioned one of them to a couple of people before, but wouldn't it be tons of fun to read about Brendon, who's been in witness protection since witnessing a horrible crime back when he had moved into his own apartment during high school? And then Spencer stumbles across him one day years later and feels both relieved and angry, because Brendon's still alive! He wasn't kidnapped and killed or any of those horrible scenarios he and Ryan and Brent worried about! But WHY DID BRENDON JUST DISAPPEAR? Without saying anything to anyone! THEY WERE WORRIED, OKAY?

And Brendon's totally freaked out because he can't have someone blowing his identity! It's not safe! But he's really happy to see Spencer, and he doesn't want to have to move somewhere else and be someone new all over again and never get to see Spencer again. :( So maybe he doesn't tell anyone from WitSec for a while, and he and Spencer sneak around to see each other. Hey, that would be a pretty cool In Plain Sight crossover! Mary or Marshall could be Brendon's contact, and Brendon's gotten BETTER at lying over the years, but he's not good enough that they don't know he's being really squirrelly about something, which they figure out pretty quickly. And there could be angst and another separation. But somehow things would eventually be okay and Spencer and Brendon could reunite happily! :DDDDD

Then there's my newfound desperate yearning for a "My Bodyguard"-style AU. Brendon doesn't have any friends at his new high school, and there's this group that's mean to him (which is like kicking a puppy, what the hell?). So he tries to hire this big guy, Zack, who's in a couple of his classes, to protect him from the bullies. Zack ends up being really freaking cool, and they slowly but surely become friends! Maybe there can be romance! (If I want to watch boweryd's head explode, I just replace Brendon and Zack with Kevin Jonas and Mike Carden, mwahahahahahahahaha!)

ETA: LOLOL apparently I wrote about the witness protection idea in a post less than three months ago. How is my memory so shitty?
