I forgot to send out a new schedule to some of the people who write a column for me, I just managed to find something to assign for this week's entertainment centerpiece, and I fucking forgot to finish filling out my timesheet last week, so my supervisor had to do it for me. /o\

Speaking of the dogs, I made the commitment to go to never_walk's Ph.D grad party without realizing that leaving town for a couple of days means I'm going to have to figure out what to do with the dogs. I've never boarded them, and I'm not sure I want to, but I don't really want to impose on any of my co-workers by asking them to drop by and feed them/take them out a few times. :\ What should I dooooo?

Hey, I've decided I'm actually going to post stuff this month! :D So I'll start by being way behind the curve and posting a meme that everyone else has already done!

You know how sometimes people on your friends list post about stuff going on in their lives, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when were they working THERE? Since when were they dating HIM/HER? Since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

Anyway, so I've never pretended to be fond of children. But Sunday, I was weeding by my back fence and heard my neighbors' kid and a few of her friends -- they couldn't have been more than 9 or so -- making up a little chant. I have no idea what they were making it up for, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't for school, because I don't think schools would approve. Here's the part that I remember:

This was followed by much giggling, mostly theirs, but some of it mine. SERIOUSLY, GUYS! I may not be fond of kids most of the time, but apparently I think that bloodthirsty little girls are just precious. :DDDDDD



Aaaand, speaking of things some people might find creepy that I find endearing, I've done a bit of an icon overhaul and decided to do a shiny meme to show off some of the new ones. Trust me; they're unforgettable. >:)

sparklewitch and I signed up to refinance our mortgage today! The plan we decided on means we'd have our house paid off 15 years from now instead of 27! And it would save us at least $60,000! :DDDDD I'm pretty excited -- probably more excited than dealing with loans should make me.

Now I just have to figure out a way to save up to buy a new (to me) car!

I did my eye makeup three times today, two of which were experimenting for Halloween. I think I finally got the look I want down, and guess what?

I ACCOMPLISHED FALSE LASHES! OH YEAH! \o/ \o/ \o/

So take that, false lashes! I can defeat you! Mwahahahahahahaha!

sparklewitch and I had a very busy weekend! We went roller skating (I'm terrible, BTW, but this is no surprise since I have awful balance and am terrified of falling), we made plans to meet up with a former co-worker soon (hadn't seen her in forever and was really glad to run into her!), cleaned the guest bedroom (all for you, never_walk!), got a bunch of stuff thrown away or ready for recycling, did a lot of dishes (stupid dishwasher that only sometimes does its job), did some laundry and fixed an MP3 player! I feel much more accomplished this weekend than I do on the ones I spend on my ass in front of the computer or TV.

(Dude, we have way too many comforters in our house. There are three on the couch right now, one in the washing machine, at least one in my bedroom, and one somewhere in the garage. WTF?)

(Also, "Good Girls Go Bad" played while we were at the skating rink. :DDDDDDD I never listen to the radio anymore, so I was pretty psyched to hear it!)

I bought two pairs of jeans yesterday: one is a 9, and the other is an 11. They're the exact same brand, exact same cut. Somehow, they also fit exactly the same, though the 9's are about a quarter to half an inch longer. Unsurprisingly, I initially liked 9's best because I was like, "They fit better!" Vanity really does make all the difference!

I'm going to Wal-Mart after work to look at planners! \o/ There's this one type of planner I used to use in high school and college, and I want to see if they have it. I seriously spent two or three hours online last night looking at different types and trying to find one I really liked. There were a couple of good options, but I couldn't find the kind I used to use. If Wal-Mart still carries it, I might just get it instead of buying something online. Hmmm.

I'm apparently incredibly picky about what kind of planner I'm willing to use. /o\ (I'm still considering making my own planner if I can't find the perfect one.)
